We define Advocacy as actions intended to change something in a positive direction. Advocacy assistance can include everything from a one-time phone call to any amount of multiple contacts for as long as the consumer wishes. Our services include individual advocacy as well as 'systems' advocacy . Centers try to balance these two activities. Both address the needs of the consumer; one in the immediate or urgent and the other in the future time frames.
