The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program helps remove barriers to food assistance by offering free, confidential SNAP application support. NOEP is especially valuable for individuals and families who may be unsure about eligibility, documentation, or how to complete the process.

Directions in Independent Living serves individuals, families, veterans, caregivers, and community partners across Olean, Wellsville, Cattaraugus County, Allegany County, McKean County, and Potter County with a focus on independence, accessibility, self-direction, safety, and community participation.

NOEP offers free, confidential, one-on-one services that connect New Yorkers with nutrition assistance programs. Our NOEP Coordinators helps applicants gather documentation for, fill out, and send in the SNAP application. Through NOEP’s community-based work, each year hundreds of Allegany and Cattaraugus County new households apply for and receive nutrition assistance.
